Hello!

My name is João and I'm a journalist currently working towards my Master's degree in News Journalism at the University of Sheffield.

Having completed a Bachelor's degree in Media, Journalism and Culture at Cardiff University, I'm deeply interested in all things media-related. I'm particularly interested in politics and social sciences as fields of writing and study, something which has really showed throughout my Master's course.

In it, I've acquired a thorough knowledge in the development of a news story, from information gathering, to the writing and to social media monitoring. Such skills require me to be well-versed with the essential IT programs. I'm particularly experienced with Adobe Premiere Pro after producing my own podcast, Mildly Interesting, for over a year.

I've acquired experience working for a range of publications and, as such, learned to incorporate several writing styles into my own work.
